Personal Responsibility Dialogue

Exploring Viktor Frankl's Vision: Connecting Liberty, Freedom & Responsibility

Frankl quote

The Personal Responsibility Dialogue is sponsored by the Center for Meaning in collaboration with the Global Dialogue Center. Its purpose is to engage citizens of the world in a meaningful conversation, exploring liberty, freedom and personal responsibility, as well as the notion of a Statue of Responsibility and its far-reaching possibilities to bring the world together.

The idea, first advanced by Viktor Frankl himself in the 1960s, has become a work-in-progress, which began to take root shortly after Dr. Frankl's passing in 1997. A group of people got together to see if they could make that Statue of Responsibility a reality. There is now a non-profit organization called the Statue of Responsibility Foundation.

Invitations will be issued to all nations to participate. Participating countries will select a sculptor of their choice to design a sculpture that artistically portrays their concept of freedom.
